Press Release on the situation of displaced persons and impact on civilian areas as of the morning of 17 March 2026
On 17 March 2026, the Ministry of Interior of the Royal Government of Cambodia issued a press release on the Situation of Displaced Persons and Impact on Civilian Areas as of the Morning of 17 March 2026.
The Ministry of Interior issued this press release to inform that, since the ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand came into effect on 27 December 2025, the Thai side has not fully adhered to the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special General Border Committee (GBC). The Ministry of Interior has continued to document all acts of bad faith by the Thai side. Simultaneously, the Ministry remains committed to addressing the impacts of aggression on the civilian population and the community, particularly for citizens who remain displaced from their homes.
